Who knows, may it is a limitation of the Drive API that I haven't picked up on before.DocHub simplifies PDF editing, signing, document sharing, and form completion, making it easy for anyone to get their documents done from anywhere. We have zero interest in using on a separate file storage platform only for PDF's but would be happy to pay just as much for a tool that could edit files directly in Drive. I could see the limitation being intentional in some cases (Adobe!) in order to lock you into using their service long-term, since you would end up with many files stored there. I want to open a browser(Chrome in our case) and do everything right there, regardless of what OS I'm on or what software is installed. I know we can use Application Launcher for Drive or Drive for Desktop in order to edit the documents with locally installed software but that is not what we're looking for, just like we do not use local versions of Word, Pages, WordPerfect, etc. Instead they want the edited file to be saved in their file system which makes no sense for us. I am using MacOS, so are other users and a few Windows users as well. I thought this would be more simple than it is proving to be. I don't want the revised document to be held on some app servers, and I want it to edit the PDF document it is editing simply. I want to be able to open apps on Drive, edit them in whatever this add-on is, and have it saved as the original document. I am trying to find a solution for this that works. I want GSuite to be the single-stop solution and offload any on-device apps in favor of a system that works completely hardware agnostic. I have lots of PDFs that many team members use regularly. New items are added approximately every quarter, when launched features are removed from the list. Learn about the publicly announced products and features planned for Google Workspace (G Suite).
